HRTV'S RACING ROAD SHOW MOVES TO CALDER THIS SATURDAY
Arcadia, CA, Oct. 11 -- HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will continue its weekly racing road journey when it is on-site at Calder Casino & Race Course for this Saturday's "Festival of the Sun" racing program.
HRTV's Peter Lurie and racing TV personality, Caton Bredar, will be in South Florida for the network to chronicle the 21st edition of the "Festival of the Sun," which features five stakes races, and doles out $850,000 in total purses during the afternoon.
Lurie and Bredar will be reporting throughout the busy day, analyzing an outstanding card that features the Grade 3, $100,000 Spend A Buck Handicap, as well as the finals of the prestigious Florida Stallion Stakes.
Introduced in 1992, the "Festival of the Sun" has been the signature event on the Calder racing calendar, showcasing top locally-based horses, in addition to other promising young horses, in preparation for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup, which is slated for Santa Anita on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3.
