Arcadia, CA, June 15 -- HRTV, The Network For Horse Sports, (R) has received eight 2012 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley.
The 48th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards encompass Kentucky, and the Awards ceremony is slated for Saturday, July 28 at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Florence, IN.
HRTV's award-winning monthly documentary show, Inside Information, received five of six nominations in the "Sports - One-Time Special" category. The nominated shows featured wide-ranging documentaries on the Radosevich family's racing legacy; legendary trainer, Charlie Whittingham; two great horses, Seattle Slew and Ferdinand; as well as John Shear, the 90-year-old Santa Anita Park paddock guard who saved a young girl.
The network's Peter Lurie has been nominated in the "Anchor - Sports" category (lone nominee in that category), Joe Chile Ibarra in the "Photographer - Program" designation, and Steve Scheidler in the category of "Graphic Arts Editor - Program."

"It's very gratifying for HRTV to once again receive recognition for the high quality of our productions throughout the year," said Scott Daruty, President of HRTV.  "It's a well-deserved testament to the outstanding group of talented, hard-working individuals at our network."
