HRTV RECEIVES EIGHT 2012 OHIO VALLEY REGIONAL EMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS
Arcadia, CA, June 15 -- HRTV, The Network For Horse Sports, (R) has received eight 2012 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley.
The 48th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards encompass Kentucky, and the Awards ceremony is slated for Saturday, July 28 at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Florence, IN.
HRTV's award-winning monthly documentary show, Inside Information, received five of six nominations in the "Sports - One-Time Special" category. The nominated shows featured wide-ranging documentaries on the Radosevich family's racing legacy; legendary trainer, Charlie Whittingham; two great horses, Seattle Slew and Ferdinand; as well as John Shear, the 90-year-old Santa Anita Park paddock guard who saved a young girl.
The network's Peter Lurie has been nominated in the "Anchor - Sports" category (lone nominee in that category), Joe Chile Ibarra in the "Photographer - Program" designation, and Steve Scheidler in the category of "Graphic Arts Editor - Program."

This year’s nominations bring the total to 23 for the network in its short history. HRTV was first nominated, and won, an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in 2009 for the "Sports - One-Time Special" category for its Inside Information: Dubai World Cup show. The network was honored with nine Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in 2011, with Inside Information garnering six awards in four different categories.
