HRTV PROGRAMMING NOTE:
HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will be on the road at Laurel Park this Saturday, Oct. 19 to offer on-track coverage for the 28th running of Jim McKay Maryland Million Day.
HRTV's Caton Bredar will be joined by Eclipse Award-winning journalist Dick Jerardi at Laurel for the highlight of the Fall racing season on the Maryland circuit.
The big day, which features nine stakes races and carries $1 million in total purse money for Maryland-sired horses, ranks behind only the Preakness as the biggest day of racing in Maryland. First post is set for 12:15 p.m. ET.
The popular Ben's Cat will attempt to become the first four-time Maryland Million winner and is entered in both the $100,000 Maryland Million Sprint (fourth race, 2:03 p.m. ET post time) and the $125,000 Maryland Million Turf (ninth race, 4:55 p.m. post time)..
Bredar and Jerardi will give viewers the latest, up-to-date information throughout the busy day, including timely paddock reports, analysis and interviews with key personalities.
