HRTV PROGRAMMING NOTE
HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will complete its on-site coverage of this year's Triple Crown when it offers the latest from Belmont Park, heading into the 145th running of the $1 million Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
Commencing this Thursday, HRTV's Scott Hazelton, Richard Migliore, and Caton Bredar will give viewers comprehensive coverage from Thoroughbred racing's final leg of the Triple Crown, which is expected to attract a big field, including Kentucky Derby winner, Orb, and Preakness victor, Oxbow.
In addition to detailing all the up-to-date information from New York, HRTV's Fasig-Tipton Pursuit of the Crown, Presented by Twinspires.com show, will shine a spotlight on the Belmont's top contenders from the network's California studio. Beginning on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, Pursuit of the Crown will air daily through Saturday (two shows, 10:30 a.m. ET & 8:30 p.m. ET). Friday's show will air at 8:30 p.m. ET.
HRTV, which presents live daily coverage of the entire Belmont meeting, will carry NYRA's feed of the Belmont post position draw on Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
A special edition of Across The Board on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET) will feature an interesting interview with Hall of Fame jockey Julie Krone, on the 20th anniversary of her Belmont Stakes win aboard Colonial Affair.
Two other weekly HRTV shows -- Against the Odds (Thursday, 8:30 p.m. ET) and The Edge (Friday, 9 p.m. ET) -- will also focus heavily on the final jewel of the Triple Crown.
