HRTV PREMIERES $100K STRONGID C 2X GRAND PRIX FROM SAUGERTIES, NY ON THURSDAY, OCT. 24 AT 9:30 P.M. ET
Arcadia, CA, Oct. 22, 2013 -- HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will offer equestrian fans another great competition when it premieres the $100,000 Strongid (R) C 2X Grand Prix, presented by Zoetis, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The one-hour show will provide highlights, as well as a unique behind-the-scenes look, at an outstanding competition which took place at the HITS Equestrian Center Saugerties, NY in early August. It was one of the final qualifying events for the Zoetis $1 million Grand Prix a month later at the same venue (which was streamed live via www.tvg2.com <http://www.tvg2.com/> ) and gave aspiring riders and their horses an opportunity to enter and compete in the season's finale.
The Strongid (R) Grand Prix signaled the final event of three weeks of showing at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, beginning in late July, and served as a very worthy prelude to the world's "Richest Weekend in Show Jumping."
The high-stakes jump off was intense with many of the sport's leading competitors among the 35 world class horse-rider teams involved.
Among those competing were: Margie Engle, Todd Minikus, Lillie Keenan, Darragh Kenny, Christine McCrea, and many more.
