HRTV ON-TRACK FOR SATURDAY'S PRESTIGIOUS, GRADE 1 ARLINGTON MILLION
Arlington Heights, IL, August 12 -- The Grade 1, $1 million Arlington Million is annually one of Thoroughbred racing's most-anticipated summertime races, and HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will once again be on-track at Arlington Park to chronicle all the events leading into the Saturday, August 17 classic.
HRTV's coverage from Arlington will be handled by the tandem of longtime racing TV personality, Caton Bredar, and Zoe Cadman, who will combine to provide the latest developments, and up-to-date information leading up to the 31st edition of the Million.
Million weekend will represent a homecoming of sorts for Cadman, who enjoyed a productive riding career in the Chicago area, and is among the leading female riders in Arlington Park history. In addition, Cadman won the Hawthorne Race Course riding title in 2001, becoming the first woman to earn that distinction.
She returns to Chicagoland to team with Bredar to offer in-depth analysis and commentary for the spectacular day of racing, while conducting interviews with key owners, trainers, and jockeys, in advance of the 1 1/4 mile turf classic, which lures a host of the sport's top grass performers.
The Million is the centerpiece of Arlington's International Festival of Racing on Saturday, which also offers two additional Grade 1 races, the $750,000 Beverly D. and the $500,000 Secretariat, along with the $400,000 American St. Leger.
Post time for the blockbuster card is 12:45 p.m. CT.
