HRTV HONORED WITH TWO 2013 OHIO VALLEY REGIONAL EMMY AWARDS
Arcadia, CA, July 22 -- HRTV (R) was honored with two 2013 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in the "Sports -- One Time Special" and in the "Editor - Program" categories at the 49th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award ceremony at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherlands Plaza in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday, July 20.
Garrett Gomez: 118 Days, a documentary which was produced by Turn Left Productions in association with HRTV, originally aired on the network in May, 2012, and earned the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in the "Sports -- One Time Special" designation, while the network's Steve Scheidler earned his second Regional Emmy in the "Editor - Program" designation.
It is HRTV's third consecutive win in the "Sports -- One-Time Special" category and its fourth in the past five years. Two additional HRTV editions of its Inside Information documentary show joined the Gomez special as the only nominees in the category. Scheidler, who serves as the primary editor and a producer on the Inside Information series, previously received an Emmy in the Editor category in 2011.
This year's pair of Regional Emmy awards brings HRTV's overall total to 13 in its short history
HRTV received five 2013 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley, and has received 28 overall Emmy nominations.
The network was honored with nine Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in 2011, with Inside Information garnering six awards in four different categories. HRTV was first nominated, and won, an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in 2009 in the "Sports - One-Time Special" category for its Inside Information: Dubai World Cup show.
